Quote of Note: “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” – Zora Neale Hurston
**A note about aspects. The following list gives you the day the aspect is mathematically exact, but effects are often felt a day before or a day after. With very strong aspects, such as Stations or Eclipses, we may see events several days before exactitude and later when other planets re-trigger those marker degrees. Aspects affect you personally the most if they connect closely to planets or points in your chart. Contact your astrologer for individualized interpretations.
Key October Phenomena:
8. 10/14/23 – Solar Eclipse & New Moon 21 Libra @ 1:55PM EDT. – The New Moon in Libra asks for balance and respect for the needs of others, but it doesn’t mean endless compromise. Find the balance that respects your needs too. The first of our Fall eclipses belongs to the family called Saros Series 7 South – meaning that this series began at the South Pole and travels approximately 1200 years to finish its cycle at the North pole. Yes, all eclipses have their various iterations and take that long to complete. This series began in the year 1248. The chart of the start of this Series has a powerful Mars/Pluto square, which was also present in the sky on 10/2/23, just a week before the eclipse. The event it produced was the horrific attack by Hams on Israel and now the counterattack by Israel. Many, many people have been killed and there are more innocent deaths to come. Personally, this eclipse offers breakthroughs for stuck situations in your life. Intensity is amplified but there are pathways to swift resolution. Clarify your intention and your goal to gain the maximum benefit through this eclipse pair (Lunar Eclipse on 10/28/23 same Saros Series). The eclipse degree reactivates when other planets make contact to the degree both before and after this date. Eclipses remain active for at least a year and in many cases longer. Check with your astrologer to understand how this eclipse series is functioning in your chart. NASA will have a live feed of this “Ring of Fire” eclipse. So called because the shadow of the Moon won’t cover the entire disk, typical of an Annular eclipse. On the East Coast USA, we’ll see about 10% of the event. The strongest places to see this eclipse are Oregon running diagonally down to Texas. Go to the link for a live feed and also a map of the eclipse path. https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2023/2023-annular-eclipse-broadcast/
