Fog of War...
Is Might Right?

A short astrological reflection of the new war on Iran and key aspects:
On Thursday 3/26/26, Mercury turned Retrograde at 22 Pisces exactly square Trump’s Sun 22 Gemini and square Trump’s Moon at 21 Sadge forming a T-square (triangular aspect) with the fourth and open leg empty in Virgo. Virgo is the sign ruling the army, soldiers and the military.
Mercury’s Rx degree is also exactly opposite the USA Neptune 22Virgo and squaring the USA Mars at 21 Gemini. I call the Mars/Neptune square in the USA chart its Achilles Heel because it is the chart dynamic that gets us involved in situations with impulsiveness, unclarity, miscalculation, lack of important information or unawareness of unintended consequences, often through lies and propaganda. This pattern is also a T-square and the open end is the Ascendant of the USA chart, Sagittarius, our nation’s identity. I see this as big ideas and hubris with lots of misinformation mixed in. Action undertaken during this pattern affects the “persona” of the United States and how it appears on the world stage. Putting Trump’s chart together with the aforementioned USA chart positions and the current Mercury Station Retrograde degree forms a Grand Cross pattern that feeds upon itself and spins in multiple directions simultaneously. In mutable signs, this enables flexibility but also exaggeration, misinformation, confusion of the action, changes in the intended goal, mission drift or unintended consequences.
On Friday, Mars at 27 airy Aquarius exactly squared Uranus at 27 earthy Taurus connected to the USA Moon at 27 Aquarius. Over the next two days, Mars triggered the powerful Solar Eclipse of 2/17/26 at 28 Aquarius.
In the early morning of Saturday 2/28/26 (local Iranian time), The United States and Israel began bombing Iran. The Ayatollah Khomeini and numerous other high level officials were killed.
On the same day the Moon entered Leo and began moving toward a conjunction with Trump’s and Netanyahu’s Mars at 26 Leo (yes, both men have Mars in the same sign and degree!) Simultaneously, over the next 2 days, the Moon opposed the USA Moon at 27Aquarius and again triggered the Solar Eclipse at 28 Aquarius.
On Monday 3/2/26 Mars entered watery Pisces for the next six weeks. This aspect animated MercuryRx/Pisces and the Sun, already in Pisces and helped spread the war across the Middle East. Pisces has porous boundaries and is not know for containment but rather dispersion of information and energy. Mars in Pisces coming days after the start of hostilities suggests shifts in strategy or goals and a certain amount of denial, obfuscation and unclarity.
On Tuesday, 3/3/26, the companion Lunar Eclipse, Full Moon at 12 Virgo to the Solar Eclipse of 2/17/26 increased our emotional responses and highlighted the armed services, the realm of Virgo. Virgo represents organized groups, those who do the grunt work, the daily details that make systems fully functional. 12 Virgo is in range to square the USA Uranus at 8 Gemini, which we already know is being triggered by Mercury’s Direct Station degree of 8 Pisces squaring this planet in the USA chart.
On 3/6/26 Venus entered fiery Aries and over the next days met with Neptune and Saturn in Aries adding to what already seems like impulsiveness and fiery rhetoric and the Administrations actions mixed with conflicting agendas.
On 3/10/26 - Jupiter turns Direct at 15 Cancer nearly conjunct the USA Sun at 13 Cancer. The USA is in its Jupiter return (a once every 12 yr. event). Jupiter has been in Cancer for 3/4 of a year and will finish its time there on 6/30/26. Jupiter is an important planet for the US because it’s the ruler of its Sadge Ascendant which describes its identity and action to engage with others and the world.
On 3/11/26, the Fourth Quarter Moon at 20 Sagittarius is conjunct Trump’s Moon at 21 Sadge and opposite his Sun at 22 Gemini, opposite the USA Mars 21 Gemini and square the USA Neptune at 22 Virgo. Notice how all of the degrees mentioned above and below are clustered around important planets in both the President’s and the country’s charts. When such a a situation happens, we can expect major events for the country that affect us all.
On 3/12/26 Mars/Pisces reaches the degree 8 Pisces which is the upcoming Mercury Station Direct degree and squares the USA Uranus 8 Gemini (unexpected, unprecedented action) and conjoins the transiting North Node as well. This is yet another aggressive contact. If you’re watching closely, all of these contacts are stages in the ongoing conflict and this contact may offer more information and certainly administration rhetoric about the consequences and ongoing goals of this war action.
On 3/20/26, the day of the Vernal Equinox and First day of Spring, Mercury turns Direct at 8 Pisces and squares the USA Uranus 8 Gemini. This condition indicates a surprise or unprecedented event or new information revealed. This can be a time of shattering news or events.
As with all retrograde cycles, the cycle fully completes once the planet returns to the same degree at which it turned retrograde. In the current case of Mercury Retro, that happens on 4/8/26. Often there is some measure of resolution of the events that took place during the retrograde cycle and a reset of sorts.
On 3/30/26 Mars reaches 22 Pisces triggering Mercury’s Station Retrograde at the same degree, opposing the USA Neptune 22 Virgo and squaring the USA Mars 21 Gemini - and connecting to Trump’s charts as previously described.
The above expresses the cascading perfect storm of aspects and triggers that brought us into the “fog of war.”
Note to self and others - resist starting a war with Mercury retrograde or incompetent, impulsive leadership that insists on a huge show of force. Welcome to “Epic Fury,” that is costing us at this moment, 1billion per day. This is precious taxpayer money, our money! We should all be concerned about this deliberate squandering of our resources financial, political, moral and spiritual.
This is not just the fog of war it is the fog of policy. What is the endgame? What are the deeper motivations, is what we need to be asking. What are the intentions of the government with current actions? Always follow the money trail. Who is benefitting from higher oil prices? Let us never forget the Epstein files also deeply reflected currently in the USA Jupiter return cycle in Cancer. In addition, Cancer ruled by the Moon, represents the comforts of the public, the people, food, housing, and the safety of families women and children.
