8. 7/18/25 – A day with 2 aspects. –

-- Mercury in fixed, fire Leo Stationary Retrograde @ 15 Leo at 12:45AM EDT. – It’s time for another Mercury Retrograde. Typically, we have three in a year, sometimes three and a half! It takes place in the middle of a fixed sign (concentrated energy). Leo represents the full recognition of the self which includes the ego. It can be ego-centric, childish, dramatic or loving, creative and fully expressing heart warmth. It all depends on the user. Previously unnoticed material comes to light and processing is required. Resist starting brand new things but do finish lingering ones. Check the fine print for contracts or leave an exit ramp if you must sign during this time. The 15^th degree is associated with the cross-quarter days (the midpoint between a solstice and an equinox). It often amplifies the fixed sign’s inherent qualities of stability, determination, and resourcefulness and immersive understanding. In the Astrology of Personality, Dane Rudhyar said “These points are not unknown to occultists. They correspond to what has been called The Four Gates of Avataric Descent. As an Avatar is in fact a release of cosmic energy, the meaning of the phrase is quite evident. The Four Gates are symbolized by the four symbolic creatures: the Bull, the Lion, the Eagle and the Angel,” that is, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, respectively. Fixed signs are known for their stability, persistence, and ability to see things through to completion. The 15th degree amplifies these qualities, making individuals with placements here exceptionally steadfast and determined.” Remember the rule of a Mercury retrograde – refrain from signing new agreements and always check the fine print. Leave yourself an out if things change from a previously described agreement. It’s typical that during the retrograde new information comes to the fore. In Leo, communicating from the heart is always the best policy. Ego and stubborn adherence to personal opinions can get in the way of real creative life force energy.
