We can’t forget the influence of Jupiter still new in Gemini (since 5/25/24) in the chart of the First 2024 Presidential Election Debate (previously posted article).
In the chart for the debate, we find Jupiter/Gemini in House 5 on a Grand Trine (triangular pattern) with Pluto 1 Aquarius and the South Node 11 Libra. Who has the best developed ideas & plans that will benefit the country and its citizens and lead us effectively into a future that is fair, socially, and environmentally conscious and protective of our basic human rights?
Jupiter by nature enhances, enlarges, exaggerates, expands, magnifies, takes risks and takes advantage of opportunities. Typically positive, and generous, it grants the user a sense of optimism and confidence. It often errs on the side of bigger is best and a love of largesse for better or worse. In Gemini, the focus is on language, verbal skills, thought processes, reason, with a penchant for verbosity. Youthfulness, colloquialisms, and wit are highlighted. It’s not the best place for Gemini since it’s opposite the sign it rules, Sagittarius, which can mean abundant talking for the sake of hearing oneself speak. Weaving divergent threads of thought together into a coherent plan or belief is often challenging. Distraction or getting lost in the weeds are struggles for this planetary placement.
Although we know Donald Trump’s style by now and Jupiter is the ruler of his Sagittarius Moon (the penchant for exaggeration and in his case, many verified lies), we are sure to gain further insight into how his mind works during the transit of Jupiter in Gemini (Trump is also a Gemini Sun).
Interestingly, Joe Biden was born with Saturn in Gemini someone who struggled with speaking and language because he was a stutterer and worked hard to overcome this disability. In Biden’s case, we’re likely to hear seriously crafted communication, expressing more pointedly or punchy than before, as Jupiter encourages and loosens his Saturn’s tendency for circumspection.
Jupiter in an air sign, Gemini seeks clarity – finding the right words for the occasion, for the moment, for the times we live in right now. This is certainly what we need. As Jupiter moves along through the sign it will form a square aspect to Saturn in Pisces. The energy of the square is already in play and its dynamic increases, peaking to exactitude in mid-August. We’ll see it work at tonight’s debate. Watch for it!

Jupiter and Saturn are natural opposites of expansion/contraction, excess and limitation, the more/less dynamic. Saturn calls Jupiter’s bluff! Saturn curtails exaggeration and requires accuracy. By going too far beyond the bounds, Saturn’s backlash engages, deflating Jupiter’s empty bombast or rule-breaking. The pin in the balloon. At best, these planets act as natural modifiers of each other – when each leans to extremes. We want a spirited positivity, a willingness to risk but we also need seriousness, practicality and respect when appropriate. The words and ideas that are generated through this debate will either help to clarify the confusions we feel (Saturn, Moon & Neptune in Pisces) or further confuse/inundate us with misinformation (Jupiter/Gemini). Our task is to sort through voluminous information and come to terms with what rings true. Each man will try to convince us with his words and ideas. Whose words do you trust? Who inspires you to greatness and who will protect democracy?

So interesting. Love the comment about Biden's Saturn in Gemini!
