In the latter half of this July 4th, the Moon is in Cancer, the same sign as Venus, Jupiter and the Sun in the USA birthchart and we feel our country’s energy keenly. Cancer is essentially home - where we feel comfortable, accepted and safe, and wherein we strive to live a life of basic ease and contentment with our families, friends and community. On this day, many Americans are at the least uneasy and at most deeply fearful. We may have doubts and feel stressed by the barrage of the news cycle and shocks to our understanding of what this country has always stood for. However, I urge you to
Refuse To Be Confused,
work your way through the swirling fog and keep faith in the principles under which this country was founded.
We, the people have the right and responsibility as citizens to elect leaders who embody the characteristics we want our children to admire and emulate. Indeed, the values we teach our children: to love rather than hate, to tell the truth rather than lie, to respect differences, to be kind and empathic, to envision a better future and inspire all of us to express our better human nature, all while striving to do the right thing as often as humanely possible. It’s a big task but that is the essence of good leadership and the character of people throughout history that we’ve admired.
Every bone in our body tells us that we’re at a critical turning point - the language of the cosmos tell us this and it is equally clear. The two slowest moving planets Pluto and Neptune are hovering around the end of their signs 29/0 degrees and we must decide clear-eyed, using reason, good information and our own instinct, the kind of world we want to live in. We’re being tested. Will we pass the test? What we decide could change the way our country looks and functions by next July 4th!
Keep faith in your power and ability to discern right from wrong.
“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” - Abraham Lincoln
“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” - Samuel Adams
